Job Duties:
Direct the financial planning, budgeting and procurement activities of all or part of an organization. Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts. Produce consolidated financials across multiple locations; develop internal control guidelines, policies and procedures for activities, such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting; Create continuous process improvement and efficiencies; Analyze operational and accounting practices to develop actionable insights. Analyze the accounting and financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas where improvement is needed; Establish financial reporting process with timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews; Develop and then manage month-end financial responsibilities, including presentation of results to management; Review and negotiate vendor and customer contracts in accordance with company policies and procedures; Provide direction to the accounting/finance department as well as company-wide; develop and build the accounting/finance department. Supervise staff of one, including coaching in accounting/finance best practices. Monitor and evaluate the performance of the accounting/financial staff, recommend and implement personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals; Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.
